SCLEO Referral Program Terms
SCLEO REFERRAL PROGRAM TERMS
Effective upon launch — date to be confirmed Version 1.0
Section 1 – Overview
The SCLEO Referral Program ("Program") is a voluntary, permanent customer benefit offered by SCLEO that rewards eligible customers for introducing new customers to SCLEO's property services marketplace. These SCLEO Referral Program Terms ("Terms") govern participation and are incorporated into the SCLEO Customer Terms & Conditions. By participating — for example, by sharing a referral link or code, or by using a referral credit — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not participate in the Program.
Section 2 – Eligibility
A. To refer others, you must be a registered SCLEO customer in good standing with an active customer account.
B. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.
C. SCLEO employees, service providers, and their immediate household members may be eligible to refer only where SCLEO has expressly authorized such participation in writing; otherwise they are not eligible for referral awards. D. SCLEO may restrict or revoke eligibility for any participant who violates these Terms, applicable law, or the SCLEO Customer Terms.
Section 3 – How Referrals Work
A. A participating customer receives a unique referral code and referral link (for example, scleo.co/ref/CODE).
B. When a new customer follows the link, creates an account, books a qualifying service, pays successfully, and the service is genuinely completed, the referring customer may become eligible for a referral award. C. A referral is NOT earned merely because someone clicks a link, creates an account, submits a booking, starts checkout, pays but later cancels, receives a refund, or books a service that is never completed.
Section 4 – What Qualifies as a Completed Referral
A referral qualifies only when ALL of the following are true, as determined by SCLEO's system records: 1. The referred person is a genuinely new SCLEO customer who has not previously completed a qualifying SCLEO booking. 2. The referral was properly attributed through the customer's unique referral link or code and recorded by SCLEO. 3. The booking was successfully paid in full. 4. The booking was not fraudulent, self-referred, or otherwise in violation of these Terms. 5. The booking was not cancelled and was not refunded. 6. The service was actually completed. 7. Any waiting period configured by SCLEO has passed. 8. SCLEO generated positive qualifying economic contribution from the booking (after provider payout, refunds, discounts, and processing costs).
Section 5 – Reward Format
A. Referral awards are issued as SCLEO account credit ("Referral Credit"), not cash.
B. Referral Credit is attached to the referring customer's SCLEO account and may only be used toward future qualifying SCLEO bookings according to these Terms and the SCLEO Payment Terms. C. Referral Credit has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn as cash, cannot be converted into cash, cannot be sold, and is non-transferable.
D. Referral Credit cannot be combined in any way that violates SCLEO pricing rules or these Terms.
Section 6 – Reward Amount and Profit Protection
A. The referral award is never a fixed amount issued blindly. The maximum award is calculated as a configured percentage of SCLEO's actual net economic contribution from the qualifying booking, after provider payout, refunds, discounts, and processing costs. B. The default maximum reward percentage is 20% of SCLEO net contribution, and may be changed only by an authorized SCLEO administrator.
C. If SCLEO's net contribution for the qualifying booking is zero or negative, no reward is issued for that referral.
D. The reward for any single referral will never exceed SCLEO's net contribution from that booking, and will never cause the qualifying transaction to become negative contribution after the reward.
Section 7 – Reward Timing, Expiration, and Caps
A. Rewards are issued only after the referral fully qualifies, including any configured post-completion waiting period.
B. Each reward is issued exactly once and recorded with a unique reward identifier and the calculation that produced it.
C. Referral Credit may be subject to an expiration period where legally appropriate and as configured by SCLEO.
D. SCLEO may configure maximum numbers of rewards per customer and maximum outstanding Referral Credit per customer. Awards that would exceed these caps may be reduced or withheld.
Section 8 – Optional Tiers
SCLEO may, at its option, configure tiered rewards based on the number of successful qualifying referrals. Every tier reward is still subject to the profit-protection calculation in Section 6 and may never exceed SCLEO net contribution for the qualifying transaction. Tier thresholds and percentages are configurable by SCLEO without amending these Terms, provided the change does not reduce a referral award that has already been earned.
Section 9 – Use of Referral Credit
A. When applying Referral Credit to a booking, the credit is validated server-side, belongs to the customer, has not already been used, and has not expired.
B. Referral Credit is applied atomically: it cannot be spent twice, including across simultaneous booking attempts.
C. Referral Credit cannot create a negative-margin booking and cannot be combined in violation of SCLEO pricing rules.
Section 10 – Fraud and Abuse Prevention
A. Participants must not refer themselves, create multiple accounts to earn rewards, refer accounts they control, use their own referral code on their own booking, or manipulate account or attribution information to create artificial referrals. B. SCLEO uses multiple signals — which may include account, email, phone, payment identity, billing, address, device, and booking history — to assess the legitimacy of referrals. SCLEO does not automatically deny legitimate referrals solely because two people share a household, Wi-Fi network, IP address, or device; such signals contribute to a fraud-risk score rather than acting as automatic proof of abuse.
C. High-risk referrals may be placed into review and may require SCLEO approval before any award is issued.
D. SCLEO may reject, withhold, freeze, or reverse awards where abuse, fraud, or a violation of these Terms is identified, and may suspend Program participation and related accounts.
Section 11 – Reward Reversals
A. If a reward has NOT been used and the underlying qualifying transaction is later refunded or reversed, SCLEO may reverse the unused reward, remove its usable balance, and record the reason. B. If a reward HAS already been used, SCLEO will not silently create a negative customer balance; the account may be flagged for review and handled according to these Terms and applicable law, with a complete audit record preserved.
C. SCLEO will never silently manipulate customer balances outside the controlled reversal process described here.
Section 12 – Cancellation and Refund Consequences
If the qualifying booking is cancelled or refunded after a reward is issued, the reward may be reversed to the extent permitted by these Terms. If a referred customer's booking does not complete for any reason, no referral award is earned for that booking.
Section 13 – Program Changes
A. SCLEO may change referral percentages, maximums, minimums, tiers, waiting periods, expiration periods, eligibility, and other Program settings at any time through the administrator controls. B. A referral that has already earned a reward remains governed by the qualifying conditions and Program version in effect when it qualified; earned rewards are not retroactively reduced by later Program changes.
C. New referrals after a change are governed by the then-current Program version.
Section 14 – Suspension or Termination
SCLEO may suspend or terminate the Program, or any participant's participation, at any time for any lawful reason, including fraud, abuse, or changes in business strategy. SCLEO will not retroactively take away referral awards that were already earned and fully qualified under the Program version in effect, except as provided in these Terms (for example, reversals due to refund or fraud).
Section 15 – No Cash Value; No Guarantee
Referral Credit has no cash value. SCLEO does not guarantee any particular number of qualifying referrals, conversion rate, or reward amount. Participation in the Program does not create any employment, agency, or partnership relationship.
Section 16 – Privacy
SCLEO handles referral and account information in accordance with the SCLEO Privacy Policy. Referral attribution data is stored server-side and used to administer the Program, including fraud prevention and accounting.
Section 17 – Acceptance
By participating in the Program — including by generating or sharing a referral link, or by using Referral Credit — you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these SCLEO Referral Program Terms, the SCLEO Customer Terms & Conditions, and the SCLEO Privacy Policy. Where electronic acceptance is recorded, the version, timestamp, and document integrity hash are preserved as part of SCLEO's audit records.
Section 18 – Governing Provisions
A. These Terms are incorporated into and governed by the SCLEO Customer Terms & Conditions. In the event of a conflict, the Customer Terms control unless these Terms expressly state otherwise. B. These Terms do not grant SCLEO unlimited discretion to violate applicable law, and nothing in these Terms is intended to waive any non-waivable consumer right provided by applicable law.
C. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED — This document is a business-level draft of the SCLEO Referral Program Terms. It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before launch to confirm enforceability of reward-reversal, expiration, anti-fraud, no-cash-value, and program-change provisions under applicable law (including any state-specific gift-credit, escheatment, and consumer-protection rules) and to align jurisdiction-specific dispute and governing-language clauses.
