Payment Terms
SCLEO Payment Terms Version: 1.0 Effective Date: [Launch Date] Last Updated: [Launch Date]
1. Purpose
These Payment Terms govern all financial transactions processed through the SCLEO Platform between customers, providers, and SCLEO. By booking services, accepting bookings, or otherwise using the SCLEO Platform, users agree to these Payment Terms in addition to all other applicable SCLEO agreements and policies.
2. Platform Payment Model
SCLEO operates as a fully prepaid marketplace. For all bookings made through the Platform: Customers pay SCLEO through the Platform. Providers do not collect payment directly from customers for Platform bookings. Bookings are not confirmed until successful payment authorization or processing has been completed. SCLEO is responsible for facilitating payment processing through authorized third-party payment providers. Provider payouts are processed separately in accordance with these Payment Terms. Customers and Providers agree not to bypass the Platform's payment system for bookings initiated through SCLEO.
3. Accepted Payment Methods
SCLEO may accept payment through authorized payment providers using payment methods including, but not limited to: Major credit cards. Major debit cards. Digital wallets supported by the Platform. Other payment methods approved by SCLEO from time to time. SCLEO reserves the right to add, remove, or modify accepted payment methods at any time. Payment processing services are provided by authorized third-party payment processors, and users may also be subject to those providers' applicable terms and conditions.
4. Provider Payouts
Providers are eligible to receive payment for completed bookings in accordance with these Payment Terms. Unless otherwise specified by SCLEO, provider payouts will generally be initiated approximately forty-eight (48) hoursafter a booking has been marked as successfully completed, subject to: Successful payment from the customer. Completion of required booking records. Completion of any required quality assurance procedures. Verification requirements. Fraud prevention reviews. Any applicable disputes, chargebacks, or payment holds. Provider payouts are processed through SCLEO's authorized payment provider(s), including Stripe or any successor payment processor selected by SCLEO. Actual deposit timing may vary depending on payment processor policies, banking institutions, weekends, holidays, and other factors outside SCLEO's reasonable control. SCLEO reserves the right to delay or temporarily hold payouts where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, disputes, chargebacks, policy violations, or other issues affecting the integrity of the Platform.
5. Platform Fees
SCLEO earns revenue by charging Platform fees for facilitating bookings through the SCLEO Platform. Applicable Platform fees may vary depending on the type of service, promotions, business arrangements, or other factors determined by SCLEO. Platform fees are separate from voluntary customer tips and are retained by SCLEO in accordance with these Payment Terms. SCLEO reserves the right to modify Platform fees from time to time. Material changes affecting Providers will be communicated through the Platform or by other reasonable means where appropriate.
6. Customer Tips
Customers may voluntarily provide tips to Providers through the SCLEO Platform where available. Tips are entirely optional. SCLEO does not require customers to tip and Providers may not request, pressure, or require customers to provide gratuities. One hundred percent (100%) of all customer tips submitted through the SCLEO Platform belong to the Provider who performed the service. SCLEO does not deduct, retain, or collect any portion of customer tips. Providers are responsible for complying with all applicable tax reporting obligations relating to tips they receive.
7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Customers may dispute payment transactions with their payment provider in accordance with applicable laws and payment network rules. If a chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal occurs, SCLEO may investigate the matter by reviewing available information, including: Booking records. Provider statements. Customer statements. GPS records. Timestamps. Before-and-after photographs. Service completion checklists. Communications. Any other relevant evidence. Where appropriate, SCLEO may contest chargebacks through its authorized payment processor using available evidence. If a chargeback or payment reversal results from Provider misconduct, fraud, failure to perform the booked service, falsification of records, or another Provider-caused issue, SCLEO may recover the affected payout through deductions from future payouts or other remedies permitted by applicable agreements and law. If the Provider is not responsible for the chargeback or payment dispute, SCLEO will determine the appropriate handling of the matter in accordance with applicable law, payment processor requirements, and Platform policies.
8. Failed Payments
Bookings cannot be confirmed unless the customer's payment is successfully authorized or processed. If a payment fails, is declined, expires, is reversed, or otherwise cannot be completed: The booking may remain unconfirmed. SCLEO may request an alternative payment method. Scheduled services may be delayed or cancelled. Providers will not be required to perform services for unpaid bookings. SCLEO may retry payment processing where permitted by applicable law and payment processor rules.
9. Refunds
Refund requests are handled in accordance with the SCLEO Cancellation & Refund Policy. Refund eligibility may depend on factors including: The timing of the cancellation. Whether services have already begun. The circumstances surrounding the booking. Applicable consumer protection laws. Any verified service quality concerns. Where a refund is approved, SCLEO will process the refund through the original payment method whenever reasonably possible. Refund processing times may vary depending on the customer's financial institution and payment processor.
10. Booking Modifications & Additional Charges
Bookings are priced based on the information provided by the customer at the time of booking. If, upon arrival or during the service, the Provider discovers that the booking information is materially inaccurate or that the customer requests additional services beyond the original booking, the Provider must promptly notify SCLEO through the Platform whenever reasonably possible. Examples include, but are not limited to: Additional bedrooms or bathrooms not included in the original booking. Significantly larger property size than originally booked. Additional rooms or areas requested by the customer. Additional services such as oven cleaning, refrigerator cleaning, interior window cleaning, garage cleaning, or other add-on services. Conditions that materially increase the scope or time required to complete the service. Providers must not perform additional work requiring additional payment unless the customer has approved the updated booking and revised price through the SCLEO Platform whenever reasonably possible. If the customer declines the revised booking, the Provider should perform only the originally booked service where reasonably possible. If the discrepancy makes completion of the original booking unreasonable or impracticable, SCLEO may cancel, reschedule, or otherwise resolve the booking in accordance with its policies. Additional charges are not valid unless properly authorized through the SCLEO Platform, except where otherwise permitted by SCLEO or required by applicable law.
11. Taxes
Customers are responsible for paying any applicable taxes, fees, or government-imposed charges required by law in connection with bookings made through the SCLEO Platform. Providers are solely responsible for reporting and paying taxes associated with their payouts, tips, and independent business activities unless otherwise required by applicable law. SCLEO may collect, remit, or report taxes where required by applicable law.
12. Payment Holds
SCLEO may place temporary holds on customer payments or provider payouts where reasonably necessary to: Investigate fraud. Review chargebacks or payment disputes. Verify account information. Investigate policy violations. Comply with legal obligations. Protect the security and integrity of the Platform. Payment holds will generally remain in place only for as long as reasonably necessary to complete the applicable review or satisfy legal or operational requirements.
13. Customer No-Shows
Customers are responsible for being available at the scheduled service location during the booked appointment window. If a Provider arrives for a scheduled booking and the customer cannot be reached or does not provide access to the property, the Provider must: Check in through the SCLEO Platform. Record the required GPS location and arrival timestamp. Make reasonable efforts to contact the customer using the communication methods available through the Platform. Wait for a reasonable period, generally up to twenty (20) minutes, unless otherwise instructed by SCLEO. If the customer remains unavailable after the waiting period, the Provider may leave the location and report the booking as a customer no-show. Customer no-show fees, refunds, and Provider compensation will be handled in accordance with the SCLEO Cancellation & Refund Policy. Where a no-show fee is successfully collected, the applicable portion designated for the Provider will be included in the Provider's payout in accordance with SCLEO's policies.
14. Changes to These Payment Terms
SCLEO may update these Payment Terms from time to time. When material changes are made, SCLEO will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide additional notice through the Platform or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the SCLEO Platform after updated Payment Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Payment Terms where permitted by applicable law.
15. Contact Information
Questions regarding these Payment Terms may be directed to SCLEO using the contact information provided on the Platform. SCLEO may update its contact information from time to time, and the most current contact details will always be available on the official SCLEO website.
